Medical Assistant
Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive measures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a medical assistant program or certification preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a clinic or hospital, is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
