Internship Description:
Novata is seeking an intern for Summer 2022. The Methodology Intern will focus on 2-3 projects under primary supervision of the Methodology team. They will concurrently be under direction of the department contact they are currently assigned to within their rotation.
The internship will consist of four components. The first being an introductory meeting with all departments at Novata headquarters in NYC (Revenue, Product, Marketing, Methodology) and two pre-assigned projects and a third that will be determined with the intern based on their areas of interest, talents and strengths.
The intern will gain valuable real-world experience working at Novata in the tech and ESG industry. The experience will be customized and an extension of classroom learning.
Program Outline:
Week 1: Novata Orientation and Department Meetings
Objective: Gain a clear understanding of each department and identify areas of interest.
Weeks 2-5: Methodology Project – Training Materials
Under the supervision of the Methodology team, the intern will work collaboratively on a research project – focused on ESG metrics for the private markets.
Information will be gathered from standards organizations, nonprofit groups, and government agencies collected. This will involve gathering data, building/populating spreadsheets, and interacting with sales, marketing, and technology. The culmination of this project will be a training module for internal and external use.
Week 6-8: Custom Rotation – Based on area(s) of Interest and Expertise
Based on the department meetings, company exposure and the outcomes of the first two projects, the intern and supervisor will select a third and final rotation and project.
Objectives and deliverables for the third rotation will be outlined with department supervisor and intern.
Internship Support:
The intern will meet weekly with the project supervisor to discuss project progress and address any questions, comments, or concerns.
Each intern will be assigned a mentor. The mentor will help the intern get acclimated with company culture, answer general questions, and provide support aside from their direct supervisor.
At the conclusion of the internship, they will meet with the project supervisors to wrap up and summarize the project and deliverables. The intern will also be evaluated by each project supervisor on their performance.
The intern will also have the opportunity to evaluate their experience at the completion of their internship providing any positive or constructive feedback of the program.
Qualifications:
- A passion for our mission, sustainability and social impact
- We’re looking for a candidate who is a team player with excellent communication skills, who is also technologically savvy, proficient-advanced on Excel with some experience using survey tools (Google Forms, Survey Monkey).
- Candidates with research project and/or competitive analysis experience are preferred.
Requirements:
- Current Junior of Senior Undergraduate Student
- Student should be pursuing a degree in one of the following areas: Business, Communications, Marketing or Journalism – with a strong personal/professional interest in the ESG
- Student should be in good standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
