Position Overview
The IT Applications Manager, CRM provides direction and oversight to the solution design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of the Novelis global Customer Relationship Management solutions, included but not limited to solutions deployed on the Salesforce.com platform. The role is highly technical and requires interfacing directly with business stakeholders and technical resources to maintain the Salesforce product including integration with other applications and tools. The IT Manager partners with the business stakeholders to understand and evaluate requirements and priorities, and to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Own the Salesforce.com solutions in the areas of Customer Relationship Management, Key Account Planning, Sales Enablement and CPQ
- Govern all IT-related changes (break-fix, minor enhancements and deployments) to the application
- Serve as a design authority for the CRM solutions within the Salesforce.com platform
- Collaborate with other IT Application and Technical Leads who own applications and integration technology solutions to ensure that functional and technical integration points are adequately addressed
- Collaborate with business teams to develop, evaluate and document solution options while leveraging standard global template solutions
- Maintain an end-to-end Process view in solution design and review
- Partner with business counterparts to discuss and communicate best solutions; provide technical recommendations
- Promote the application maintenance, project methodology and processes standards defined by IT; take an active role in making sure others follow the defined standards
- Create baseline documentation of currently enabled solution and keep solution documentation up to date and current
- Advocate the Salesforce solution within the business and regions by building networks and relationships with business partners and stakeholders for current and future project collaboration
- Develop relationships in multiple modules and business functions to coordinate cross-functional activities and meet project timeline expectations with quality deliverables
- Implement, document, and enforce governance model, best practices, and standards
- Utilize best practices in technical analysis
- Collaborate with project managers to follow project Agile/ITIL methodology
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience configuring and deploying Salesforce
- 5 years of IT project management experience
- Experience leading diverse teams, directly or indirectly, with demonstrated ability to organize and direct work
- Demonstrated leadership and attention to detail skills through prior experience at the strategic and tactical/implementation levels
- Active Salesforce Administrator Certification; Salesforce System Architect Certification a plus
- Advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related processes.
- Extensive experience with Force.com Platform and other front-end languages and backend tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML5).
- Technical expertise with interface design and management between Salesforce and ERP systems. Working knowledge of web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML.)
- Have participated in at least 2 full lifecycle Salesforce.com implementation projects and filled a team lead role in at least one of these projects
- Able to work with technical/development resources to clarify questions about designs and solutions
- Experience working within a matrixed organization and ability to collaborate across functions and geographies
- Must thrive in a team oriented, highly collaborative workplace
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to prioritize across multiple projects and initiatives
- Experience working in the metals or commodity manufacturing industries and/or working with a Tier 1 or 2 automotive supplier a plus
- Experience in application delivery with on-time & on-budget solutions.
- Experience working across a global organization and across multiple functions
- Relationship-building, ability to listen, build rapport, and gain trust
- Strong understanding of process improvements and problem solving
