What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift SHIPPER/SHIPPING position at Novipax?
Duties:
- Operate Sit-down Forklift.
- Ships finished product and raw material using FedEx, UPS and other vendors management system.
- Schedules and coordinates trucks as needed.
- Cycle counting inventory
- FIFO (First In First Out)
- Pulls customers’ orders and loads them onto scheduled transportation.
- Prints the shipping documents for the outside drivers.
- Prints and maintenance files for internal tracking.
- Unloads incoming raw materials, verifies the quantities, checks for any quality issues and documents what’s being received.
- Pulls raw materials to the converting line based off the pull sheet given to them by converting.
- Pulls the finished goods from converting and puts them away in the warehouse.
- All other related duties as required
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Education/Work Experience: experience in a standard sit down forklift as well as a box clamp.
- Language Ability: Ability to communicate to fellow employees, truck driver and answer phone calls.
- Math Ability: basic math.
Computer Skills: basic computer skills, knowledge and intermediate skills with Excel, Outlook, Word
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Monday – Friday or As Needed from 12am-8am. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands: Sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 20 to 40 pounds. Reading computer screen.
