NOW CFO is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations for a rapidly growing HVAC client permanently! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, overseeing administrative support staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Role is onsite in Vero Beach, FL

Pay: $60-$75k per year

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all aspects of operational accounting for the organization, inclusive of: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL Management, Payroll, Job Costing & Bank Reconciliations.
  • Analyzes financial data and provides insights to senior management.
  • Monitors the organization’s daily/weekly budgeting adherence, job cost margins & cashflow developments to alert management of potential downturn trends.
  • Potentially manages and collaborates with 1–2 Clerical Support Associates overseeing the timely and accurate completion of assigned transactional data entry workflows.
  • Supports Controller/CFO level leadership with diligent, error–proof Month–End Close Process.

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience as an Accounting Manager / Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant preferably in an HVAC, Construction, Manufacturing and/or Production environment.
  • Excellent knowledge and hands on experience managing the full beginning–to–end transactional accounting workflows for an organization.
  • Prior exposure or exceptional capacity managing the timely and accurate operational accounting for a company with over $5MM in annual revenues and 25 employees.
  • Strong experience using Sage Accounting Software or similar ERP experience (i.e. Peachtree, Great Plains, Xero, QB, Dynamics etc.)
  • Strong Excel proficiency leveraging advanced functions to analyze and amalgamate financial statement data (Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, VLOOKUP, Index, Match, Macros etc. Strong knowledge of all Office Enterprise platforms required.
  • Cost Accounting, Progress Billing, and/or Work in Progress experience in HVAC or a similar environment a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or the equivalent in experience strongly desired.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and supervise direct reports while maintaining excellent interpersonal abilities in a midsize “family office” type work culture.
