POSITION SUMMARY
Working the 3rd shift (10:45pm-7:15am), the Receiving Warehouse Lead performs and oversees the proper procedures for receiving, production staging, receiving transfers, stocking, production put away, shipping transfers, and receiving non-inventory receiving to ensure production deadlines are met and fill rate goals are achieved by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Utilizes Oracle and Discoverer for daily cycle counts, stock inquiries, moves, transfers, adjustments and tracking stocking and receiving errors.
- Works with quality control to ensure inbound raw materials are sampled in a timely manner.
- Resolves errors and customer complaints and ensures corrective measures are put into place. Retrains and coaches employees on errors to increase accuracy.
- Analyzes and documents systems process flow and recommends better solutions necessary to achieve process improvement, increased labor efficiency and expense reduction.
- Ensures all employees perform assigned duties in accordance with the SOP’s and warehouse safety regulations.
- Responds to and answers any questions employees may have during their scheduled shift hours.
- Develops and/or assists in the writing of Standard Operating Procedures for all tasks within their department, based on the direction and review of the supervisor or manager.
- Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

Actively participates in the safety program by: engaging in training activities to learn what constitutes a safety hazard; reporting safety concerns to the supervisor, submitting safety suggestions, and correcting or reporting to the appropriate people when an employee sees a workplace health or safety hazard, until it is resolved. Assists with communicating safety information to new employees. Fulfills responsibilities as outlined in the company safety management plan.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience.
- Prior supervisory / lead experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Good problem solving skills required.
OTHERS SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Previous experience with warehousing and lift truck driving required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have excellent interpersonal, coaching, training and team-building skills.

The employee must frequently lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, pick/pack and/or place:
- pallets from floor onto side, drag/move up to 10 feet and return to original position at a weight up to 40 lbs.
- 5 lbs., from ground level and place at 61 inches high; return to original position.
- up to 50 lb., bags or boxes from 12 inches up to 36 inches high; return to original position.
- 12x12 boxes weighing up to 75 lbs., from 5 inches off the ground up to 36 inches high.
