The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of duties including managing all HR issues, enforcing company policies, processing and overseeing payroll, and administering employee benefits. This role is pivotal in maintaining our company’s ethos and ensuring smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and execute routine tasks in various HR functions such as payroll, benefits, company policy enforcement, and employee relations.
- Manage payroll preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee benefits administration and address employee queries regarding benefits.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure efficient data entry on HR platforms.
- Handle employee onboarding, training, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment and labor laws.
- Provide support in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with local social equity commitments.
- Administer and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Engage with employees to resolve issues and improve workplace morale.
- Collaborate with management on HR strategies and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll practices, and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in the cannabis industry or retail field is preferred.
