Soldering Technician

Ideal candidate would be proficient in Surface Mount and Through Hole soldering and unsoldering techniques, board repair, and component installation and replacement. This job requires the use of a microscope and soldering tools while soldering or replacing fine pitch SMT devices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Repair rejected SMT and Through Hole PCAs
  • Utilize AOI data to inspect solder joints for defects and repair them.
  • Perform trace repairs, fine pitch soldering.
  • Maintain and update job status information, including Traveler entries and AX.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Microscope Soldering
  • Must be able to solder and de-solder fine-pitch SMT components
  • Knowledge of correct Surface Mount component identification and installation
  • Training In Correct Soldering Technique
  • Must be able to read and understand BOMs
  • Attention to detail
  • Preferred IPC-A-610F Class 3, J-STD-001F Class 3, IPC-7711-7721 Class 3 Rework, CIS,
  • Preferred able to replace BGA, CSP devise, on rework station.

Experience:

  • Requires experience working with Surface Mount and Through Hole PC Board assembly, soldering, inspection, re-work, and repair.
  • Requires experience working with current component technology, including semiconductor package types, and electro-mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with Electro-static Discharge precautions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
