Alarm System / Electronic Security Technician

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems for Government, Commercial, and residential properties.
- Conduct site surveys to assess the best locations for alarm system installation.
- Program and test alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarm systems, including identifying and repairing faulty components.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding alarm system operation.
- Collaborate with clients to design customized alarm systems that meet their specific needs.
- Install and configure IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) and other security devices.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including documentation of system configurations and repairs.

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and networking principles.
- Experience in alarm system sales, installation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge for mounting equipment and running cabling.
- Familiarity with locksmithing techniques for installing locks and access control systems.
- Ability to design alarm system layouts based on client requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues with alarm systems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and provide technical support.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
