Job Description: Clinical Language Analyst/ Healthcare Coding Specialists
Job Summary
Healthcare Coding Specialist are a part of our software development and evaluation teams for ICD 10, Radiology Clinical Reporting, DMA specificity and Emergency Room Guidance.
- Review patient cases and label specific terms for clinical conditions, diagnoses, symptoms, treatments, measurements and other evidence. (Annotations)
- Evaluate the software’s interpretations, identifying errors or improvements to realistically represent clinician and medical coder interpretations. (Manual Reviews)
- Serve as a healthcare coding resource for internal customers and software development teams to ensure our products can meet the needs of our clients and their patients.
Qualifications
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with a cross functional team of product managers, interface designers, consultants, delivery staff, and engineers.
- Superior analytical abilities: ability to draw insight from findings and understand the root cause of product quality issues preferred.
- Team-oriented but also highly self-sufficient and self-motivated.
- ICD-10 coding or auditing experience; Inpatient preferred.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
- CCS or RHIT preferred
Education:
- Associate Degree required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
