Premier Medical Management (Centennial Medical Group/First Call) has a long history of engaged, high performing employees, and we’re looking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to build upon what we’ve created. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in HR or recruitment, with a thorough understanding of HR policy and procedures, as well as Federal, State, and Local Employment Law. The bulk of this role will involve employee orientations, benefits administration, compensation, recruitment/talent acquisition, rewards, and conflict resolution, but there is great opportunity for developing and refining systems. We are eager to find an HR manager who easily connects with people and has a detail-oriented mindset to handle the changing nature of the workforce.
Our HR Manager should be detail oriented and capable of maintaining and developing effective internal procedures, while handling employee-related issues, developing and supporting recruiting and retention efforts, and keeping performance at peak levels.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes (We currently use ADP Workforce)
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation/PTO
- Prepare employees for their designated work sites by completing onboarding, and establishing/conducting orientation and training programs
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records (Familiarity with Maryland Employment Law a must)
- Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring, engagement, and morale
- Support departments in the development and delivery of strategic HR plans to fit with the overall business direction
- Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling 1 on 1’s with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, training managers to coach and discipline employees, and counseling employees and supervisors
- Conduct investigations, employee terminations and exit interviews
- Work collaboratively with management to develop and maintain incentive programs, and a recruiting referral program
- Work with Department Managers to understand qualifications and competencies required for vacant positions to be filled, handle all aspects of recruiting for various
- Departments (pre-screen candidates, assist in development of job descriptions, management of postings, and dissemination of qualified candidates to proper Department Managers for initial interview, research salary benchmarks)
- Oversee and work collaboratively with payroll team
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
- Maintain the Company Handbook and make recommendations to Management necessary to maintain legal compliance
- Build strong relationships with managers and leads, fostering trust and promoting collaboration
- Build a strong relationship and work collaboratively with our “business partner” at ADP
- Handle confidential matters with a high degree of professionalism and discretion
- This is a fully in-person role (remote work not possible)
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in human resources, business administration or related field preferred
- Knowledge within the Medical/Healthcare Industry
- 2 years in human resources or recruitment
- Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, high integrity, and an ethical mindset
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
- Familiarity with Excel Spreadsheets, Office 365
- Experience working with ADP Workforce a plus
- Understanding both Federal and Maryland HR laws
- Training in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion a plus

Pay: $72,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
