You will manage our public relations efforts, including collaboration with external agencies, and directly impact how we engage with all internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills, media savvy, and proven expertise who can play a key role in helping Nuro operate efficiently through subsequent stages of growth.

About The Work
In this role, you will report to Nuro’s Creative Director and will be responsible for a wide range of communications activities that are crucial to Nuro’s success:
- Media Relations: Oversee our public relations activities, including the management of external PR agencies. Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and thought leaders in the technology and mobility sectors. Develop and execute engagement strategies to amplify Nuro’s brand presence. Ensure that our brand is represented accurately and positively in the media.
- Content Creation: Write and edit various content, including press releases, blog posts, and social media posts—translating technical language into effective narratives. Manage the company blog, crafting compelling stories that highlight our mission, vision, and innovations.
- Internal Communications: Lead internal communication efforts, including organizing company all-hands meetings, drafting internal announcements and executive communications, and fostering transparent and values-driven communication within the organization.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to coordinate and prepare for external-facing engagements, ensuring consistency in messaging, professionalism, and approach.
- Crisis Communications: Develop and execute crisis communication strategies to protect the company’s reputation in challenging situations.
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. You have 5-7 years of experience in communications or public relations, preferably within the tech or automotive industries. You have a proven track record of managing PR campaigns, internal and external communications, and crisis communications.
- Leadership: You have the ability to lead communication efforts and manage relationships with external partners and senior stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: You are a strategic thinker who can anticipate challenges and proactively develop communication plans to address them.
- Communication: You possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and you can convey complex information clearly and effectively to various audiences.
- Collaborative: You thrive in a collaborative environment and are skilled at working cross-functionally with teams across all levels of the organization.Adaptable: You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Ownership: You’re a proactive, entrepreneurial self-starter with a demonstrated history of producing the highest quality results.
- Experience in the autonomous vehicle or broader mobility sector.

Salary : $125,400 - $188,100
