Job Title: L&D/PP Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Unit Name: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum.
Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery Unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum (PP), Newborn Nursery (NBN), 2 Operating Rooms (ORs), and 2 Antepartum Rooms (ANU) with Recovery Rooms (RR).
- Deliver care to patients in active labor, manage postpartum care, and provide newborn care.
- Circulate during procedures and assist with epidural and magnesium gtt administration.
- Maintain patient safety and privacy, ensuring a high standard of care.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and document care in the EPIC EMR system.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care.
- Proficiency in circulating, newborn care, and managing active labor.
- Experience with EPIC charting system.
Certifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (every 2 years).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

- Census: Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor patients.
- Floating Required: No.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $74.00 - $76.00 per hour
