This position will report directly to the Senior Supervisor, Process Engineering.
What You Will Do
- Participate in onsite training to increase knowledge of the various process units
- Monitor unit key performance indicator’s (catalyst, exchanger, machinery performance) to identify problems and opportunities in the operating units with the goal of continuously improving production, efficiency, cost, and environmental performance
- Provide technical support regarding maintenance planning and execution, and to capital project development and execution
- Provide support to operating teams by troubleshooting issues during process upsets and participate in investigations of plant production issues
- Provide support to other engineers for long range needs, capital investment plans and projects
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is required
- 8 years overall process engineering experience
- 5 years of Ammonia, Urea/Syngas processes experience
- Knowledge of Process Simulations (AspenHysys, Unisim)
- Knowledge of Process Monitoring (Pi or Uniformance)
- Expert knowledge of process design, technical specifications, and machinery
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Proven experience in planning, problem solving and organization
- Working knowledge equipment within primary area of responsibility
- Able to self-motivate, and work in a team environment
