Reporting to the Area Manager, Cornbelt, West & Canada, Nutrien Financial, the Territory Manager will support growth of Nutrien Financial products within an assigned Nutrien Ag Solutions territory. This role will adhere to all lending policies and procedures, as well as provide timely operational, marketing, business development information and assistance to the Nutrien Financial team. This role requires clear communication between the Nutrien Financial team, credit staff, and field team on new programs, policies, and execution of financial services strategies and support activities. Travel within an assigned territory, aligning divisions, and locations, is required to empower sound business practices, improve brand quality, and deepen customer relationships.
This role, will collaborate with the Nutrien Financial team, including corporate staff, to build efficient sales and marketing strategies. Clear documentation and communication of field feedback will be critical to success. Alignment with the Nutrien Ag Solutions retail organization is also essential, to train, promote, and execute the financial acumen required to capture ag input sales, while fostering lasting customer relationships
Key Tasks:
- Provide finance program structuring assistance to growers and Retail locations
- Build awareness of lending processes and lending products within the assigned region
- Oversee location development, management training, operations, communications to include location education and call management of the potential loan applicants
- Provide timely operational, marketing, and business development information and assistance
- Coordinate finance program communications to the field, including policy, procedures and new finance program details
- Support the development of marketing materials for new finance programs
- Identify opportunities for growth and new program opportunities to compete with current market offerings and differentiate Nutrien Financial
- Lead grower-facing financial services & planning conversations in partnership with retail crop consultants
Skills:
- Financial and Ag input product knowledge to foster sales of Nutrien Financial products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to position financial services features and benefits
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Comfort presenting in front of large audiences and interacting with strategic customers
- Ability to build relationships with both Retail, customers and Nutrien Financial team members
- Knowledge of the Nutrien Ag Solutions retail channel, agronomic products, and financial services will be an asset
- Sound time management and listening skills, ability to work well within a team, and desire to learn
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture or business is required
- Minimum six (6) years of financial services, credit, or field sales experience in the Ag industry is required
- Experience working with retail management, leadership and/or customers would be an asset
- Knowledge of balance sheet and income statement analysis, ratios and terminology
- Area of residence is flexible; within the assigned territory geography
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
Compensation & Benefits:
$79,600 - $109,450. This range is estimated for the Territory Manager, Nutrien Financial in Colorado.Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
