What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN/Interim Traveling Registered Dietitian position at Nutritious Lifestyles?
Nutritious Lifestyles® is actively seeking to add a self-motivated, customer service consultant to our team as a PRN Traveling Registered Dietitian in Texas. We have been providing premier nutrition and foodservice since 1986 across continuum health care and food service industries.
Job Purpose:
To provide PRN/interim coverage relating to Registered Dietitian consultations.
Job Description for traveling RD's :
- Acting Nutrition Expert for the facility
- Lead and direct nutritional care of residents.
- Provide MNT to high-risk residents (malnutrition, weight loss, wounds, tube feeding & dialysis).
- Active member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
- Collaborate with Food Service Director
- Train/In-service members of the dietary team
- Document via electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Employ nutrition focused physical assessments as appropriate.
Requirements for traveling RD's:
- Completion of specialized academic training in dietetics, including a minimum of a four-year degree in food and nutrition and science form ACEND or completion of a Coordinated Program.
- Dietetic internship or Master’s program approved by ACEND
- Current Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist by the state or states in which they practice.
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
Preferred:
- One year of experience in foodservice management or clinical dietetics
- Previous Consulting experience/traveling consulting experience
