JOB TITLE: Compliance Analyst
REPORTS TO: Compliance Manager

JOB PURPOSE: The Compliance Analyst role will have a primary goal of ensuring our organization complies with the industry?s laws and regulations. In this position, they will examine practices and policies within the business, identify areas where they are out of compliance, and offer suggestions for how to make the necessary modifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop solutions for practices that are out of compliance.
- Monitor departments to ensure compliance with company policy and industry regulations.
- Prepare reports for management.
- Researching industry compliance regulations and policies.
- Evaluating internal operational and procedural compliance.
- Analyzing and updating existing policies and related documentation.
- Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to management and designated departments.
- Developing and maintaining a compliance recordkeeping system.
- Applying for compliance certification and regulatory approval.
- Developing and executing new compliance policies and procedures as required.
- Training employees on industry compliance requirements.
- Keeping up with compliance requirements and amendments to regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry-related Bachelor?s degree is required.
- 2 ? 5 years of compliance experience; Financial services industry experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards preferred.
- Certification(s) from a recognized compliance body (e.g. CRCM), or the ability to obtain one within 1 year of employment, is preferred.
- Ability to provide training to company staff using effective and understandable language to communicate compliance goals and procedures.
- Effective at conducting research to identify and resolve areas with high risk of non-compliance.
- Skilled at producing compliance reports that are useful in making necessary business adjustments.
- Must have strong organizational, communication, and conflict management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong grasp of industry processes and existing business regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to solve problems when they arise.
