Austin Veterinary Specialty & Emergency is looking for an energetic and dedicated Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Technician Clinical Manager to join our growing hospital!
AVES is an exciting place to work and is continuing to grow in their community to serve more pets. We are currently working on building a new 43k sq ft facility just 1 mile down the road from our current location!
The schedule is 40 hours (4, 10-hour days M/T/W/FR), and the compensation range is $75 - 95k/yr benefits package, uniform and CE allowance, as well as discounts on personal pet care.
The ECC Technician Clinical Manager will help oversee the entire ECC staff (2 supervisors (direct), approx. 40 staff members including technicians, technician assistants, kennel attendants, etc (indirect)).
The ECC Technician Clinical Manager will work alongside the Specialty Technician Clinical Manager who oversees technicians in disciplines including Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery. The eligible applicant should have previous management experience with experience in veterinary medicine strongly desired.
It is the responsibility of the Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Technician Clinical Manager to be a positive role model for all staff, while overseeing all aspects of the Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technicians within the ECC department. They will aid the Medical Director in deciding how all standards and results required of the department are reached. The manager will manage employee schedules; perform employee coaching and development, and delegate duties and responsibilities to the departments’ staff.
They will also assist in providing quality and compassionate care to all AVES patients and clients. They are responsible for overseeing and monitoring the treatment of our patients and ensuring that detailed records and documentation are maintained for our patients during hospitalization.
The ECC Technician Clinical Manager must have good communication skills and a strong professional relationship with the doctors, technical staff, customer service staff, education department and other Managers and supervisors in order to perform the work as delegated and produce quality results.
A strong knowledge of the day-to-day functions of the ECC, patient care and client service skills is highly desired. This position requires a dependable, high-energy person who can handle multiple tasks at one time as well as a high stress and fast paced environment. Minimum of 2 years of management experience, preferably in Veterinary Medicine but open to other industries as well.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
