WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Reporting to the EMEAI Financial Controller, as a Finance Controller India/ME, you will be responsible for all controllership activities for 5 legal entities in India and 1 legal entity in Middle East. In this position you will manage the centralized GL, AP and AR department in the Bangalore Accounting Center. Provide leadership and coordination in financial reporting, treasury management, accounting and compliance Lead, develop and motivate controllership team with your strong collaboration and people skills Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure the existence of strong internal control systems and environment and accurate and timely reporting of financial results Ensure timely financial closings and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and group reporting Analyze monthly and quarterly variances and providing financial explanations Liaise with external (Big 4)/internal auditors to ensure timely and smooth closure of statutory financial statements/internal audits. Ensuring that the observations are remediated and closed out in a timely manner Ensure statutory and (in)direct tax compliances, adherence to compliance calendar pertaining to all direct and indirect taxes. Conversant with Customs, GST and Income Tax rules. Handling tax payment & filling of Return. Co-ordinating, filling & submission of timely returns for compliance under income tax and GST rules Forecast the cash flow on monthly basis and park the surplus funds into short/long term bank deposits efficiently Review and approve monthly payroll process and payments Responsible for effective Sox documentation and controls framework Providing suitable recommendations for improving internal financial controls, efficiencies, and utilization of financial resources YOU HAVE: Chartered Accountant qualification with 10 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting in an international industrial manufacturing environment Solid Knowledge of IndAS, Taxation, financial systems, processes and controls Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards Knowledge and experience implementing and supporting Continuous Improvement activities in Finance Good understanding of advanced ERPs and group financial reporting systems – SAP and OneStream preferred Sophisticated Microsoft Excel and proficient in other Mircrosoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint) Experience with M&A integration activities is highly preferred Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership abilities Strategic mindset Ability to empower teams, including peers Ability to inspire confidence and create trust while strong people management skills Entrepreneurial at heart and likes to take ownership Excellent analytical skills, motivated, hardworking, and self-driven leader Ability to interact with stakeholders internal and external is essential Exceptional problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexing responsibilities Ability to travel up to 10% of the time WE HAVE: A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day At nVent, we connect and protect a more sustainable and electrified world with inventive electrical solutions.
