WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL GET TO:
- Reporting to the HRVP and working with a close-knit HR and leadership team supporting our Aberdeen, Centralia and Chandler sites.
- Manage 2 direct reports (HRBP’s)
- Advise leadership on all Human Resources issues and initiatives impacting the sites business goals and objectives.
- Partner with business leaders to increase employee engagement and ensure alignment to nVent culture.
- Act as coach to managers on employee performance, employee relations issues and other people management programs.
- Develop communication and change initiatives to align employees with the business goals and objectives and to address employee concerns.
- Implement and support HR Department initiatives including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, compensation practices, HR policies and practices, training, and full employee life cycle processes.
- Acts as a primary point of contact and provides counsel and consulting services to internal partners across the organization as well provides support to employees.
- Manage hourly recruiting
- Coordinate temporary workforce
- Ensure accuracy of HRIS data
- Assist in conducting New Hire Orientations
- Lead HR project work
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resource Management (HR degree preferred )
- 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist
- Experience working within manufacturing industry highly preferred
- Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws
- Familiarity with Workday or HRIS systems helpful
