Type: Direct Hire
Position: Business Development Associate
Salary: $50-80k, DOE (room for growth in the company as well as salary)
Location: Hampton, VA but will accept candidates who are fully remote as long as they are residents of VA

While desired experience in some of the following areas is ideal (HR, contracts, proposal writing, & accounting) it is most important that the individual have experience working with government contracts.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-- Support the CEO/President in performing operational duties to include HR, people, processes, technology, admin support, maintain the executive
calendar
-- Perform oversight in project/program management activities including satisfaction surveys
-- Act as the point of contact for employees: responsible for employee morale, schedules employee event, recruitment and HR activities, prepare and attend career expos, recruiting events, manage interview schedules, conduct interviews, maintain job postings, candidate records and open job status reports
-- Prepare and audit new hire onboarding including timely entering of I9 verifications
-- Conduct new hire orientation
-- As the training/administrator, plans, assigns and executes trainings
-- In partnership with the President and CEO, perform HR responsibilities such as employee timesheet review for payroll preparation, relations, job performance, employee management
-- Clerical responsibilities such as office supplies, equipment, record management including retention and disposal of records
-- Reviews clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
-- Maintains contact with customers and outside vendors; is a role model for customer service
-- Develops and maintains company website content, newsletter and press releases
-- Prepares recurring reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually) for Executive staff
-- Prepares performance evaluation calendar, monitors completed reviews
-- Other duties may be assigned and ability to pivot while multi-tasking by establishing priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.

Language Skills:
-- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English language.
-- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:
-- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
-- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
