Job Description : NY CREATES is seeking applicants for HVAC Assistant Supervisor. HVAC Assistant Supervisor assists the HVAC supervisor with managing the efficient operation of facility systems to support the mission and goals of CNSE and the site.
This position is responsible for : Assist the HVAC Supervisor to effectively manage assigned personnel effectively to meet 24 / 7 facility coverage and maintain facility goal of 99% uptime for HVAC systemsProvide direction to HVAC technicians to maintain performance specification for cleanroom environments as well as other facility spaces (i.
e. office space).Identify management training opportunities to develop your own skills in leadership, planning, conflict management, decision making and communications.
Assist the HVAC Supervisor to implement comprehensive Preventive Maintenance programs for facility equipment in CMMS system.
Help plan, assign and distribute work orders and work requests. Assure technicians are entering appropriate data into CMMS and completing work orders in a timely fashion.
Help supervise maintenance and repair activities.Assist the HVAC Supervisor with guidance and support of the technicians with the training of existing and new staff members in CMMS.
Assist and support the training of existing and new staff members in various other trade related systems and programs (i.
e. Honeywell, Siemens, IFix, Allen-Bradley)Assist the HVAC supervisor with training technicians in all capacities of operating procedures, completion of work orders.
Mentoring and verification of technician knowledge training, SOP review and project completion planning.Assist the HVAC Supervisor to establish, assign and adjust work methods and procedures to meet schedules using knowledge of capacities and capabilities of personnel and equipment.
Assist in the training and instruction of employees in new methods or procedures. Provide technical assistance to mechanics and inspect work in process for quality and to insure its completion within allotted time limits.
Help interpret policies and procedures to assigned personnel and enforces safety regulations and adherence to required codes and standards.
Promote EHS training requirements for assigned personnel. Requirements : Minimum Requirements for Facilities HVAC Assistant SupervisorA technical trade degree with a minimum of 4 years of related HVAC / mechanical work experience and 1 years supervisory experience of Mechanical / HVAC staff in a facility operations environment ORa minimum of 3 years of Mechanical / HVAC work experience and 1 years supervisory experience of Mechanical / HVAC staff in a facility operations environment.
Must possess EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification, good personal relation and communications skills and ability to write clearly and conciselyMust be able to carry and respond to cell phone / emails outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
