Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Marketing Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate The Physician Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing an organic and paid social media marketing and communications strategy for NYU Grossman School of Medicine social channels, in support of the organizations goals to build reputation across national physician audiences for our medical schools, clinical specialties, and research enterprise, and to grow referral volume from NYC-area referring physicians.
Within the department of communications and marketing, the Physician Social Media Marketing Manager will be integrated into and support both the clinical marketing teamwhich liaises with clinical department leadership and drives overall physician marketing strategy and plans, and the social media teamwhich manages all NYU Langone social channels as well as the overarching paid and organic strategies, with the distinct purpose of using social media to reach and influence physician audiences.
Job Responsibilities:
Partner with key communications and marketing groups to write, edit, publish, and share engaging organic social content for a physician-focused audience for our NYU Grossman School of Medicine social media accounts
- Develop and execute an overarching physician-focused content strategy for paid and organic social in collaboration with key internal and external agency partners
- Establish and execute against specific KPIs for paid and organic social
- Work with clinical service line leads to understand business challenges, editorial opportunities, and goals to inform planning and execution
- Support clinical program social channel strategy and individual physician social strategy for key thought leaders where theres an opportunity to collaborate with those groups to reach niche audiences
- Integrate social media marketing efforts with larger content marketing effort to reach physician audiences, leveraging the Physician Focus content hub
- Understand and integrate NYU Langone branding and tone into all paid and organic content
- Use social and analytical tools to create a robust cadence of content, tracking and measuring campaign metrics and engagement
- Adhere to all digital brand standards and style guidelines
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a A BA/BS degree is required.
Minimum 3-5 years marketing experience for large, complex organization(s).
Previous advertising, direct marketing, Social Media, and/or online marketing experience required.
Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal communications skills.
Project management skills; ability to manage cross functional teams.
Ability to develop effective messages aligned with goals of the organizations.
Creative self-starter; proactive; able to juggle multiple projects and follow through to completion; a problem-solver.
Ability to exercise excellent judgment.
Professional demeanor.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- General: BA/BS degree required; masters preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years social media experience for large, complex organization, healthcare industry/physician audience experience preferred
