What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle Analyst position at NYU?
The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for providing strong analytic assessments, reporting and operational support on all aspects of revenue cycle operations in a central business office as well as for the clinical departments within NYU Dentistry. Develop and implement procedures to decrease future errors to maximize efficiency. Monitor ongoing performance of Revenue Cycle results through use of key operating indicators (KOI); review patterns to identify trends and variances to maximize collections and reduce recurring billing errors; identify revenue cycle trends to determine root causes and potential improvement opportunities; develop and implement policies and best practices associated with operations, billing, collection, patient access and other workflows to improve revenue cycle performance.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in information systems, business administration, finance or related discipline.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in a related discipline..
Required Experience:
3 years of revenue cycle experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
High level of analytical skills and dynamic communication skills (verbal and written); demonstrated skills in A/R management, problem assessment, resolution and collaborative problem solving; experience in data extractions; ability to work independently and follow through on multiple projects simultaneously; proficiency in health insurance collections and eligibility as it pertains to commercial, managed care, government and self-pay reimbursement concepts; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $96,000.00.
