Position Summary

This role is responsible for stocking shelves, building displays and rotating inventory in assigned accounts. Merchandising would be a great opportunity for people pursuing a career in logistics, packaging, sales/marketing, retail/merchandising, product design or other related fields.

This is a seasonal part- time position. This would be an awesome position for students (at least 18-years-old) who are looking for a fun summer job!

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Calls on assigned accounts in a timely manner, which may include weekends and holidays
• Maintains rotation by reading code dates of all products to ensure freshness
• Stocks shelves and build displays
• Consolidates backroom stock as directed
• Represents O & W, Inc. in a positive and professional manner, including reasonable standards of grooming and dress
• Communicates with Lead Merchandiser, store managers, store receivers and O & W, Inc. Sales Team to best serve the account and achieve Company goals
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience

• 18- Years- Old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• License to operate a vehicle without suspension with dependable transportation
• Ability to rotate case stock properly to ensure quality standards
• Must have a cell phone with the data and technology requirements to communicate effectively with the team
• Possesses basic technological skills to communicate via e-mail and text

Expected Hours of Work

We are currently seeking part- time Merchandisers for the summer season. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work Mondays and Tuesdays; and candidates who can travel to Howell, Hartland and/ or Pinckney. Most work is done in the morning through mid- afternoon.

Compensation

This role has a starting wage of $15/ hour. Merchandisers also receive reimbursement for mileage driven on the job and a cell phone allowance. Room for promotion based on performance and position availability.
