Job description

Company information: Oak Ridge Pet Boarding and Daycare is a family owned and operated facility specializing in individual attention for all pets.

Description of duties: If you would love to work with pets and have a passion for management, we want to hear from you. Our facility needs an articulate and professional individual to become a team member. You will manage day to day operations of the facility, maintain inventory levels, work hands on with staff, manage pets entering and leaving the facility, partake in meetings and much more.

This role is both a management and a hands-on position. We are a small team making communication essential.

Tasks:

• Accurately bring in and send home pets using our software and email programs
• Maintain accurate records for customers and pets
• Communicate directly through various means with customers, veterinarians, vendors and owners.
• Maintain cleanliness levels inside the facility both through management direction and hands on work.
• Lead staff on a daily basis through education, supervision and communication.
• Be able to work side by side with owners and manager as well as work hands-on with pets and other facility staff.
• Work directly with pets on a daily basis

Skills and requirements:

• Love of pets
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather
• Able to clean facility as needed
• Stand for most of shift
• Organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
• Desire to learn a new career
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, split shifts, spring break, MEA etc.
• Answer phone as needed
• Must live within 30 Minutes of the facility

Work schedule:

Various shifts available, the more flexible you are the more hours you will have. Some weekends and holidays are required.

25-35 hours per week. Mandatory overtime in the summer and holidays as needed.

Salary: Training Wage is $16.00 per hour tips. Tips can add $1-$3 per hour to wages!
