Peak season is just around the corner and Ocala Tractor is now accepting resumes for an experienced service writer/advisor. Ideal candidates must have service writer or service advisor experience in a fast paced equipment type environment. Candidates must also have strong customer relations skills in a service oriented setting. Responsibilities will include: equipment intake, work order creation, parts research, customer follow up, and ensure the repair process is 100% completed in a timely manner. Computer and organizational skills are a must for this position. Finalize hourly rate and monthly commission plan will be based on proven experience.
Job description
- Successful candidate will possess great organizational skills, be money motivated, have a mechanical aptitude, be able to work with computers and type at least 30 WPM. This is a full-time position and may be required to work half days on rotating Saturdays. This job will require great personal and communications skills in dealing with our customers and fellow employees. Some agriculture and zero turn experience and knowledge will be a major plus. Pay is based on performance.
- will use their knowledge of equipment mechanics and skills in communication to deliver the best services possible to customers in need of repairs or maintenance.
- will ensure that all manufacturer required repairs are completed in addition to repairs that customer requests
- will work closely with technicians to be sure that work is being documented, reported and recorded accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Contacts manufacturers and OEM’s to obtain authorization to perform repairs.
- Works closely with technicians to understand and relay needed repairs to customers and manufacturers.
- will learn warranty policies and procedures required by each manufacturer to include reading and understanding detailed policy manuals, taking online courses on your own time, maintaining certifications with all manufacturers
- maintain and store replaced parts for the correct period of time per dealer policy manuals
- ensure that all work estimated and completed is for the best benefit of the customer
- Must have great organizational skills and follow up techniques.
- Experience in the agriculture or equipment repair industry is a plus
- Great telephone skills.
- Customer service skills are essential.
- Be very comfortable in working with numbers, employee time and bookkeeping.
- Great problem solving skills and computer skills.
- Other duties as needed or requested by Service Manager
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Suspend and align vehicles for service
- Assist customers with brake repair and auto body repair inquiries
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide recommendations for shocks, struts, transmission, diesel engine repair, oil changes, and air brake services
- Schedule appointments and manage service requests
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a service writer or customer service role preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with customers
- Knowledge of automotive repairs and services, including brake repair, auto body repair, shocks, struts, transmission, diesel engine repair, oil changes, and air brakes
- Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
