Cardroom Cashier

Company Overview: OcalaBets is a brand new cardroom opening in beautiful Ocala, Florida at the end of summer 2023. Our fully remodeled facility is located on the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company complex. The cardroom will include 35 card tables featuring traditional poker and Vegas-style card games including Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker, and DJ Wild. Full bar service with a fast casual menu will be available as well as simulcast wagering on horse racing throughout the country shown on over 100 televisions. Job Description:

The cardroom cashier is responsible for handling large amounts of currency and chips. Cardroom cashiers are responsible for ensuring transactions are executed securely and accurately. Wages plus tips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process all chip transactions.
• Balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies.
• Handle customer questions and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with tournaments.
• Participate as a count team member.
• Ensure all paperwork and data entry are completed accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory procedures and policies.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Knowledge of the gaming industry is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to comply with recordkeeping and reporting requirements of Title 31.

Working Conditions:

The role requires prolonged standing and dealing with the public under varying conditions. The ability to function in a high-pressure environment is key. Able to carry, lift, and empty poker chip boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
