Day Services Specialist

Involve yourself in an exuberant team whose mission it is to provide empowerment for success to individuals with disabilities of all ages through encouragement, skill building, employment, community engagement, self-worth, and self-advocacy.

• Mentor and teach a case load of individuals in the community and in a Day Support Program to find their niche, increase community skills and explore their community options for volunteering, socialization, and employment.
• Assist individuals with problem-solving, money management, self-care while having fun doing it.
• Work closely with an experienced team through on-the-job training and self-observation, to acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful in your position.
• Have weekends off and work a typical 8:00am-4:00pm shift with paid holidays.

• Employment or personal experience with adults with disabilities, aging population and mental health needs is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• This position is perfect for someone who wants to experience another area of the human service field or wants to learn more about a potential career in it.
• Employment will be contingent on successful completion of a Department of Human Services Background Study.
• Employment will also be contingent on producing and maintaining a valid driver’s license, with an insurable, unrestricted driver’s record that meets the requirements of ODC’s insurance providers.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
