Summary of Position:
Initiates, develops and implements printed and electronic communications for Ocean Reef Club. Supports all Club departments by developing or enhancing internal promotional materials. Supports conference sales and membership teams by contributing and/or guiding external promotional materials. Occasionally assists Real Estate Companies, Community Foundation and/or clubs within the Club by promoting events/programs through ORC communication vehicles.
General Responsibility
Prepares, clears, produces and disseminates to all audiences pertinent Club news and information about events, offerings, news and developments through weekly newsletter, printed pieces, website, e-mail blasts and social media.
Duties
- Develops, produces and disseminates communications pieces for Club members, guests, meetings attendees and prospective members, including, but not limited to, electronic newsletters, website and social media content, printed and electronic brochures, flyers, posters, direct mail pieces and annual reports.
- Contributes to and guides development of Social media efforts.
- Coordinates with senior management and/or department heads to develop and produce programs and materials that enhance sales efforts to members, guests and meetings attendees.
- Meets with department leaders as needed to discuss, review and implement communications policies and programs
- Assists Chairman/President/Board as needed in developing personal messages to members, guests or prospective members and Club presentations.
- Guides and supports Human Resources with branding and content creation for Associate communications.
- Ensures that ptography is obtained for all Club events/happenings as needed, handling all third party contractors and photo shoots.
- Ensures that ORC brand standards are followed clubwide in all printed or electronic pieces.
- Prepares and/or monitors annual Communications Departmental budget and assist managers/directors of all Club departments in preparing for Communication pieces in their budgets as needed.
- Hosts members of the media visiting Ocean Reef Club, providing extensive property tour, press kit, itinerary for stay and all necessary ORC information/press kit materials.
- As required, performs special or temporary manager assignments as directed by management.

Position Requirements:
Education: Four year college degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, English or related field
Experience: Three or more years in Private Club or Resort Marketing/Communications, Public Relations, Advertising Agency, in a supervisory or management capacity.
Skills/Knowledge: Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Sharp eye for detail and strong interpersonal/customer service skills. Able to create and generate relevant content. Good sense of judgement and ability to prioritize. Working understanding of graphic design processes and techniques, particularly in regards to Adobe InDesign. Working understanding of digital communications. Working understanding of print process and ability to work directly with vendors.
