What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Administrator I position at Oceaneering?

Coordinates the planning, cost and schedule execution of assigned products on the shop floor.
ESSENTIAL
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment, observes and follows safety policies, wears appropriate and prescribed personal protective equipment.
- Works with Planning to identify, communicate and mitigate schedule execution issues.
- Assembles PID packets ensuring all necessary documentation is readily available for production.
- Reviews PID package to insure Record of Assembly and Pick Plan match what was pulled from inventory and placed on Assembly.
- Ensures timely and accurate implementation of ECOs and/or redlined drawings.
- Proactively interacts with planning, inventory, and manufacturing to ensure effective communication and execution of Master Schedule.
- Interacts closely with planning to ensure accurate information resides in PID packets on shop floor.
- Interacts closely with manufacturing to ensure accurate information is reported on PIDs.
- Ensures the data integrity of the ERP system with regard to PID data.
- Works with planning as needed to understand and report PID cost variances.
- Creates Work Orders for Shop Use
NON-ESSENTIAL
- Operates forklift as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to four years related experience and/or training.
- Forklift experience and certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with MRP Software and inventory management fundementals as related supply chain functions.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point.
DESIRED
- If certain education and/or experience would be useful, list as “desired”. (Example: PHR, CQM, Black Belt).
