OCI Nitrogen Iowa is looking for a Turnaround (TAR) Scheduler to join our Turnaround team in Wever, Iowa. TAR Scheduler responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and evaluating a working schedule for plant outage events. Schedule to include prework, shutdown, clearing, LOTO, work execution, and start up activities. Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 software and SAP. The TAR Scheduler will be required to interact with a diverse group of OCI and contract employees to ensure successful plant outage events.
As a Turnaround Scheduler, you will:
· Identify required maintenance work and tasks for varying shutdown windows and opportunities.
· Drive efficiency of the workforce through effective planning and scheduling.
· Develop and monitor scheduling activities for preventive, corrective, inspections, and capital work.
· Establish work schedules to control downtime and ensure duration goals are met.
· Print and distribute daily working schedules and 3-day look ahead.
· Coalesce multiple inputs into daily schedule updates to site.
· Track and report schedule compliance and other key performance indicators as required.
· Build organizational capability in the Turnaround team through mentoring and training.
· Develop, review, and update written turnaround procedures, instructions, and schedules.
· Prepare and submit regular reports on turnaround and shutdown readiness and efficiency.
· Establish cost estimates for work and cost control measures to ensure budget goals are met.
· Participate in annual budgeting process.
· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience and Skills
· 4 years’ outage scheduling experience in plant maintenance in an industrial manufacturing industry. Fertilizer manufacturing experience is a plus.
· Broad knowledge of chemical plant equipment.
· Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, PowerPoint) and Project.
· Experience in SAP, specifically around maintenance modules.
· Capable of handling multiple projects and high priority tasks in parallel.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.
· Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
· Wearing a respirator when/where required to perform inspections/job duties.
· Confined space entry may be required.
