About the Job:
The Pricing Analyst, specializing in intermodal and customer rate requests as well as coordinating and resolve route and rate exceptions in the freight process. The Pricing Analyst is also responsible for maintenance of rail and truck/drayage pricing. The Pricing Analyst will need to be knowledgeable of all railroads, drayage, and trucking.
In This Role, You Will:
- Manage intermodal and truck pricing requests from existing and potential new customers.
- Coordinate rail and drayage in real time to establish competitive pricing for the given lane requirement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with railroad and drayage vendors, utilizing those relationships to compare competitive pricing.
- Prepare bid (RFP) pricing & requests, ensuring that rates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within the customers’ timeline requirements.
- Update and maintain rail and drayage rates, fuel surcharge, and accessorial charges.
- Create and maintain customer rate matrices as required by customers.
- Assist Operations with routing options and Accounting in rate discrepancies.
- Entering and updating rates in internal systems.
- Identifying new lanes and services and locating warehouse partners to help with new business; anything to do with expanding our service capabilities.
- Quoting/Pricing for all business Collections.
- Completes CCP forms for Mexico movements when the customer is incapable of doing so.
- Coordination of Mexico programs: Data collection, and establishing routing with the rail, etc.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED

Required:
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of transportation experience; intermodal experience a plus.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail
- Highly motivated with ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
