Position Overview: OE Enterprises is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our team, leveraging a 50-year legacy of empowering individuals with disabilities in North Carolina. This pivotal role will support our mission by fostering growth and development within the organization. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in identifying and securing funding opportunities, coordinating development projects, and building relationships with key stakeholders. With a strong emphasis on strategic planning and community engagement, the Development Coordinator will work closely with the CEO to ensure our workforce is equipped to meet the evolving needs of our community. Together, they will uphold OE Enterprises' mission of enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Salary: $20-$25/hour depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Education and/or Experience: This job requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Having a college degree is preferred but not mandatory. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, with 2-5 years of experience in gift and donor data entry, the grant process, reporting, and the use of social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

  • Manage all aspects of donation processing, including data entry, coding, updates, notification, and credit card processing
  • Works with the Finance Department to reconcile and audit fundraising accounts
  • Assist with developing the social media/ marketing calendar. Develop social media/ marketing materials to highlight the organization and draw in more donors
  • Responsible for all donation notification letters and processing
  • Maintain all Charity Campaign applications and processing and compliance
  • Maintain and update all donor records, including the residential and support services family list, employee list, and Board of Directors
  • Update and maintain fundraising and planned giving platforms
  • Data query and process mailing lists as required. Coordinate, process, and mail all major donor-related mailings
  • Edit, draft, and write fundraising articles, letters, and reports
  • Expand and develop grant program – writing scope, applications, and reporting as needed
  • Work in tandem with leadership staff in preparation, development, implementation, and oversight of OE events, with management of all outside fundraising efforts.
  • Update and maintain development protocols and procedures as well as the development calendar
  • Manages the execution of the annual campaign and works with marketing on campaign communications including email blasts, videos, and social media posts

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms.
