Our Account Executives partner with account and program leaders to deliver operational discipline, delivery excellence and speed to market for their clients. They are trusted to build relationships across all of Ogilvy’s vast resources and capabilities. You will help support the team as we build and scale operational best practices, create award-winning work, and drive sustainable growth. You’ll work alongside the leadership team and subject matter experts, as well as discipline leads to achieve our ambition. You are a capable communications professional able to handle a broad variety of tasks with increasing independence and sound judgment. Additionally, you will work with account management leaders to apply knowledge about client’s competitive landscape and understand data/business results and their impact.
We would prefer you to be in the Washington, DC area, but fully expect to maintain a hybrid model. - Oversee and maintain statuses and pipelines for production plans and required deliverables
- Work with all internal team members to facilitate the development of great work
- Assist with production, project management, workflow system data entry, and reporting
- Recognize scope changes and elevate to Account Directors
- Support Account Directors and Project Managers on projects
- Work alongside planning and account management leaders to produce simple creative briefs
- Basic analyses and presentation of client’s business results and competitive landscapes to clients and agency team members
- Understand the changing agency landscape, identifying our competitors’ points of difference (and their weaknesses) to better support the overall strategy
- Develop an understanding of & respect for every craft within Ogilvy
- Contribute to the development and presentation of new business programs for potential and existing clients
- Help facilitate strategy and creative development through desk research, an understanding of the brief requirements, and through constructive and actionable feedback
- 1-2 years of experience in a creative agency (traditional, interactive or social) environment
- Experience in video (TV/digital/social) production a huge plus
- Experience with managing projects and tracking the financial progress of a piece of business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organization and time-management
- A true team player, willing to take on new challenges and work collaboratively with a large, inter-disciplinary team
- Desire to learn and grow, with resilience to ask questions and contribute to conversations
- Ability to oversee short- and long-term projects in fast-paced, agency environment
- Respect and understanding of the strategic, creative, and media disciplines
- Ability to work productively with all departments to achieve our common goal
