Job Description Summary: Performs and all maintenance and repair for all customers in the Ohio Health System for imaging equipment. Installs, inspects, repairs, and calibrates all imaging equipment/systems as assigned. Performs preventive maintenance and radiation surveys as required. Assists in scheduling all work performed by other Imaging Engineering Specialists, and provides service training in consultation with the Manager of Imaging Engineering. Schedules service provided by Original Equipment Manufacturer. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Required) Degree from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering Technology; or twelve years related Experience and/or training in the medical imaging field working with eight years Experience in the imaging field working with an imaging related Original Equipment Manufacturer or equipment dealer; or equivalent combination of and Experience . Must have a background in computer networks, digital imaging and its access, microprocessor technology and operation. Must have recently worked with specialized imaging equipment such as CT, MR, , Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, or Radiation Therapy at the highest level of service. Must have demonstrated ability to be a leader and be a self starter when it comes to solving service problems. Must have the required theoretical knowledge in radiology equipment testing, calibration, and repair effectively service our customer s needs. Must have a demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physics, chemistry and mechanics. , Must have demonstrated knowledge of Health & Human services and Department Radiological Health, State of Ohio Department of Health and Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations regarding radiological services, applicable codes, and standards. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to maintain a poised, professional, articulate image with both the internal and external customers.
