Job Description Summary: The Lab Specialist review, monitors and correlates internal and external information and resources to insure that patient laboratory reports are accurate and reproducible; shall institute and maintain quality assurance measures as required by licensing or accrediting agencies. Takes on a level of responsibility which includes instrument maintenance, training of personnel, inventory control, quality control, and troubleshooting and resolving problems. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Required) Med Tech language; include Phlebo Experience ) Medical Technology or related field. One year internship in an accredited hospital followed by completion of the Board of Registry examination. Advanced level of physiological chemistry, quantitative analysis, higher mathematics, statistical analysis, and computer training. Customer service to clinicians and clients. Must be comfortable and professional on the telephone, able to communicate with physician office staff and clinical staff, and laboratory Associate's. Must be able to communicate with patients and their families, and use service recovery where necessary. Two years extensive Experience in an automated clinical laboratory.
