What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Sales position at OK Tire Stores, Inc.?
Duties:
· Phone and face to face customer service – establish, service, and maintain customer accounts by utilizing customer growth and new customer call sheets
· Greet all customers in a friendly, welcoming, and timely manner
· Review morning sales numbers and goals with Location Manager
· Qualify customer for proper fitment, style, and product, and work with service department supervisor to fulfill customer needs
· Maintain proper margins, while ensuring that proper work order process is being followed:
o Vin numbers are put on work order
o Email addresses are entered
o Proper phone number for contact
o Proper vehicle recorded
o Address entered
o Mileage
o Service notes
o Customer status waiting/call when ready/time promised
o Tire registration form filled out accurately if applicable
· Ensure outside billing is coded correctly, and that proper bill out procedure is being followed for credit cards, electronic checks, and charge accounts
· Offer and set up in house credit card (CFNA card) with proper approval
· Accurately complete national account/government paperwork in a timely manner, specified by Location Manager – i.e. Michelin, Firestone, etc
· Accurately get approvals on Auto Integrate for fleets where it is required
· Process all paperwork and return customer calls
· Perform proper closing procedures such as closing out credit card machine, till count down, cleaning the showroom, etc
· Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing all Personal Protective Equipment as required for position, reporting all Near Misses, and reporting all incidents & filing appropriate paperwork in required time frames.
· Participate in company shows – events may fall on evenings or weekends, so some flexibility is required
· Participate in and complete any manager/company requested training/continuing education to stay current on sales techniques and trends

Minimum Job Requirements
· Candidate should be able to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis, and able to stand for prolonged periods of time
· Preference towards candidates with a minimum of 1 year of sales/customer service experience; strong preference towards candidates with previous tire/automotive experience
· Effective verbal and written communication
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, and ability to learn company-specific software
· Legally eligible to drive a vehicle, with insurable driving record
· Work will be primarily indoors, with minimal exposure to dust or any chemicals or irritants
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour
