Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support with excellent verbal and written communication skills including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying, reserves space, order or inventory supplies, and prepare presentation materials for meetings and workshops as needed. 
  • Screen and field calls, manage calendars, and arrange meetings or events to schedule participant intake, orientation, and workshops. Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms. 
  • Provide coverage for others stuff when necessary, such as classroom facilitation, escorting to job fairs to events, conducting orientations, and researching community resources. 
  • Develop a filing system for quality control to ensure files are organized, relevant, and clearly marked for access to establish and maintain monthly and quarterly reports for both internal and external customers as well as community partners for the timely and accurate flow of information.  
  • Conduct follow-up services with corresponding case management and file audits to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local requirements. 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in administrative support.
  • Proficiency and experience with software programs such as Microsoft Office/Adobe and a knowledge of operating standard office equipment.
  • Must have an appropriate and valid state driver’s license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes, some travel may be required.

Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers.  Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities.  We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
