Summary:
The Credit Administration Portfolio Manager assists in the annual review and covenant test processes for the entire Bank, as well as managing an assigned portfolio of loans.
Essential Functions:
· Complete annual reviews and covenant checks as assigned by the department manager.
· Spread financial information, perform cash flow analysis (standalone, global and stress testing), evaluate risk ratings, identify strengths and weaknesses, assess the accuracy of coding, etc.
· Have a thorough understanding of the Bank’s loan policy to ensure accurate identification and tracking of preferred standards, policy exceptions, risk ratings, coding, etc.
· Ensure accuracy of tracking mechanisms to include financial reporting ticklers, annual reviews covenant checks, tasks, etc.
· Partner with assigned lenders to identify financial information to be requested for the assigned portfolio.
· Proactively monitor a portfolio of loans for upcoming maturities and expirations to prevent unnecessary past due loans.
· Assist with the quarterly internal review process with the Bank’s outside vendor:
o Review each pull list to determine accuracy and completeness of relevant files
o Work with lending staff to obtain any missing, inaccurate, or incomplete information both prior to and during the loan review
and assist with other exams (OCC, external auditors, etc.) as needed and to provide online access as appropriate.
· All employees will be responsible for understanding and complying with the letter and spirit of all government regulations including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, that apply to the Bank’s specific operations.
Requirements
Competency:
· One to five years of experience in commercial banking, either in portfolio management, credit underwriting, operations, or loan servicing.
· A general understanding of portfolio management and risk assessment to ensure complete and thorough analyses of the Bank’s existing loans and relationships.
· Proficiency in systems (Horizon and Global Wave), software (Microsoft Word and Excel), credit reporting application (LaserPro), etc.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and both within the team and across other internal departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.
Physical Demands:
This position requires sitting at a computer station for extended periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible but should be agreed upon with the employee’s supervisor.
Travel:
This position requires occasional travel to client sites, off-site meetings, other ODNB branches and locations, and other business-related outings.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, required.
· One to five years of experience in commercial banking either in portfolio management, credit underwriting, operations, or loan servicing.
· High attention to detail, strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Work Authorization/ Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
