Responsibilities
- Conduct medical examinations and gather patient histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop personalized treatment plans in consultation with patients and their families
- Coordinate specialty referrals when needed
- Collaborate with management, colleagues, and staff to enhance care delivery
- Ensure compliance with billing and coding regulations
- Provide on-call coverage for both pulmonology and critical care, with a manageable 1 in 3 call rotation
- Work in a closed ICU setting with a 40% inpatient and 60% outpatient case distribution
- Eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses, as well as competitive compensation
- Obtain board certification in Pulmonology and Critical Care
- Preference for board certification in Sleep Medicine
- Hold a valid and unrestricted medical license in Connecticut or be eligible to obtain one
- Possess a valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate
