Parts and Service Technician Position Summary -
This position is responsible for maintaining the current business by providing day-to-day customer service support. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery by providing comprehensive parts support and technical assistance. This position offers a hybrid schedule with the flexibility to be completed remotely.
Primary Responsibilities
· Responds promptly to customers in need of service and solicits feedback to improve the current level of service. Ensure timely and accurate processing of repair part orders.
· Uses procedures and discretion to respond to inquiries, formulates quotes or sales proposals for parts or service. This includes price, product requirements, credit terms and delivery schedules as required. Has the authority to negotiate price specifications or any other parts of the sale on a regular basis.
· Uses phone, email and other sources of communication to initiate maintenance calls and communicate with customers regularly.
· With deep knowledge of the Oliver bakery product line, uses independent judgment to solve customer needs and complaints.
· Provide education to customers on proper care of machines.
- Participate in on call rotation.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to address customer requirements and elevate the overall customer experience.
- Engage in projects and additional duties as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
Education:
· High school diploma, trade certificate program.
Experience:
· 5 years of related customer service, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements:
· Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
· Desire to drive accountability across project teams and cross functional teams
· Outgoing personality and a “my pleasure” attitude
· Strong teamwork, active listening and problem-solving skills
· Strong mechanical skills.
· ERP System experience preferred.
· Able to work independently or as member of a team; must be organized and meet deadlines in stressful situations
Technical Skills
· Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with ERP and business applications
· Demonstrated ability to follow through on details and enter data into computer systems quickly and accurately
