What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Intern position at Oliver Winery?
JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Intern works with the Human Resources department to support fundamental HR functions such as maintaining our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), conducting basic onboarding tasks, assisting with the Live Well wellness program, and sending out employee communications. The goal of this internship is to provide an educational opportunity for the intern to learn basic HR functions in the HR Department at Oliver Winery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the HR Director with maintenance of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including applicant correspondence and tracking, and job description/posting maintenance.
- Maintains organization of job descriptions in internal files.
- Assists Department Heads with interview scheduling and gathering interview materials.
- Assists the HR Director, Compliance & Payroll Specialist, and Department Heads with basic onboarding tasks such as preparing welcome packages, employee files, and welcome binders.
- Sends out Part-Time Exit Surveys.
- Assists HR Director and Department Heads with winery events, celebrations, meetings, trainings, and other special projects as needed.
- Works with the HR Director to draft and publish the monthly employee newsletter, The Grapevine. Updates WorkJam, ADP dashboard, and physical bulletin boards as needed.
- Assists the HR Director with the maintenance and execution of the Live Well wellness program.
- Files and digitizes assorted HR and Administrative paperwork. Updates basic employee/winery spreadsheets (data entry & tracking).
- Additional duties, as assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus.
- An interest in the field of Human Resources.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Due to the nature of our business, must be 21 years of age or older.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE: This is an onsite project-based internship that is projected to last about three months with the possibility of an extension if necessary. The internship is part-time and offers an average of 15 hours per week during regular office hours (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will have to spend long hours sitting. There may be visual or ergonomic strain due to computer use. It also requires extended periods of concentration and focus. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
