Role: Accounts Payable Manager
Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Required to go to the office. Currently 2 days per week)
ROLE MISSION
Working in partnership with our client, the Accounts Payable Manager will effectively manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure the client's purchase ledger is accurate, secure and efficient.
ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING
Reports to Global Finance Operations Director
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE
- Lead, manage and develop a team of 6
- Creating and monitoring team KPIs
- Ensure all invoices are entered accurately and in line with deadlines
- New supplier set-ups
- Manage the AP ledger to produce an accurate creditor payment forecast
- Manage team pay run proposals, before submitting final pay run within agreed budget
- Ensure suppliers are paid in line with the agreed payment schedule
- Effective communication and relationship building with suppliers
- Effective communication and relationship building with the wider business
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Manage the Expenses process
- Responsible for ensuring AP mail is effectively managed and responded to in a timely manner
- Responsible for managing supplier invoice queries
- Provide information and recommendations to the Global Finance Operations Director to develop and implement new processes and policies to improve the Account Payable performance
- Resolution of purchase order queries, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Protects Inside Ideas values by keeping information confidential.
WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL
- 3-5yrs experience in AP management
- Netsuite/Xero experience highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral, able to engage with people at all levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Good organisational and problem solving skills.
- A good team worker, willing to be flexible and take on a range of activities and looking to learn and develop within the role.
- Highly IT literate with sound MS Office skills.
- High Standard of integrity, confidentiality and discretion.
