Olson Steel is a leading steel erection and fabrication company who has been servicing the construction industry for over 60 years. We are currently seeking a Contracts & Billing Administrator to join our team in San Leandro, CA.
The Contract and Billings Administrator will support all A/R and Billing functions for the company.

Essential Duties
- Prepare and mail pre-liens
- Process monthly billings
- Daily cash collections
- Process Lien releases daily
- Setting up job folders, issuing preliminary notices and ordering insurance
- UCCI filings – ongoing
- Master job list management
- File and organize budget folders/binders
- Prepare, file and update contract billing summaries
- Scan, copy and mail change orders to appropriate general contractor customers
- Job close out
- 2nd Tier sub management / certified payroll management
- OCIP / CCIP management
- Analyze contracts and subsequent contract change orders to determine the final invoice value to be invoiced as well as review Insurance Claims estimates
- Create Progress billings using the Percentage of Completion Method and invoice the customer for each completed portion of multi-phased projects.
- Must be comfortable contacting customers by phone to discuss delinquent accounts. Establish an AR Collection plan to accomplish the Company’s overall goal
Education
Minimum requirement: College Degree in Accounting or related field
Requirements/Desired Skills
At least 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance administration role. 3 years managing and overseeing accounts receivable and contract management. Must be advanced in Excel and Microsoft. Timberline experience is strongly preferred. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently or on a team. Experience in Construction Industry.
