OlyKraut makes sauerkraut in Olympia and has been in business since 2008. We are woman owned and B-Corp Certified. We are currently looking for someone (probably a Virgo haha) to fill a nearly full-time position as our Office Administrator. This individual will be the common ingredient to most aspects of our operation. The job includes light bookkeeping, internal sales, supplies inventory management, procurement, filing, phones, occasional errands, and general office support. We are looking for someone with a deep sense of efficiency and organization, experience managing an office, and comfort with customer service. Hopefully, you will also like our jokes.
We are a small company and there is a lot of chaos that needs to be wrangled and we’d like someone who enjoys that kind of challenge. It's a big job with a lot of responsibility and can feel stressful so a certain amount of flexibility, adaptability, and acceptance is probably required along with the constant desire to find ways to keep things orderly and well orchestrated. It's a fun balancing act for the right person.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Effective written and verbal communications
- Ability to handle deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently as well as collaboratively
- QuickBooks experience (We use the manufacturing and wholesaler edition)
- General comfort with solving technical problems on the internet and being flexible with technology.
- Be able to problem-solve and follow-through on communications and projects
- Strong PC skills, especially using MS Office Suite products
- Typing
- Experience with standard office procedures, terminology, and protocols
- This is not a remote position – we need you in Olympia!

25-30 hours per week
