What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Director position at Olympic Sports and Spine?
Olympic Sports & Spine is looking for a full-time, experienced Human Resources Director for our growing & fast paced medical office. Experience in the field of Physical and Occupational therapy preferred. OSS is known for its fun and energetic work environment and for valuing its employees. Days and hours of work typically between Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm. A comprehensive benefit package is provided.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under the direction of Executive Officers, the Human Resources Director will be directly in charge of Human Resources Assistants in the business office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with OSS' policies and applicable laws.

Recruitment and Staffing
- Places ads, pre-screens, coordinates and conducts interviews, and selects employees in cooperation with clinic managers and executive staff to fill vacant positions.
- Contracts with outside suppliers to provide physical, occupational and massage therapy services as well as other administrative and technical support
- Ensures processing of new hires to include coordination with of Health for licensure requirements, offer letters, employment agreements, credentialing, background checks, and pre employment drug screens.
- Coordinates job fairs for recruitment of PTs & OTs.
Benefits Administration
- Will coordinate meetings with CEO, insurance broker and plan representatives to review benefits plans annually and determine necessary
- Administers benefits programs such as life, medical, dental and disability insurances, 401 (k) plan, leaves of absence, and employee
- Ensures appropriate processing, reporting and recordkeeping of benefits plans
Training and Development
- Develops, coordinates and conducts training programs for employees and managers as needed in areas of interviewing, employee disciplinary actions and terminations, performance reviews, safety, compliance, sexual harassment, communication,

General HR Management
- Administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
- Maintains the HRIS database (Paycom) and generates scheduled or requested reports to assist management. Establishing, maintaining and controlling personnel, employees, recruitment relations records, files, correspondence, reports, and organization charts.

Corporate Compliance
Assists Corporate Compliance Officer with corporate compliance program.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Education/Experience: Minimum Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous HR experience.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.
- Washington State requires that all health care employees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of October 18, 2021. Therefore, proof of vaccination is a condition of employment at Olympic Sports & Spine.
