Key Responsibilities:
Compliance and Culture:
Lead efforts in monitoring high-risk employees, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring consistent discipline practices.
Champion employee engagement initiatives and cultivate a positive company culture.
Train and counsel managers on employment practices to handle inquiries effectively.
Ensure compliance with federal employment laws and regulations, including E-Verify.
Compensation:
Conduct market analysis to recommend competitive salary structures.
Stay updated on government laws and regulations affecting compensation.
Manage compensation programs and HR budget to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
Training and Development:
Oversee performance appraisal programs and ensure workforce development.
Develop and maintain training plans, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
Plan and conduct new employee orientations to align them with company policies and goals.
Employee Relations:
Foster strong working relationships with managers and employees.
Communicate HR policies and programs effectively across the organization.
Recommend practices to promote a positive employer-employee relationship and high morale.
Review disciplinary actions for consistency and fairness.
Organize events to reinforce the ONE Company philosophy.
Union Negotiations and Labor Relations:
Provide leadership in union negotiations and labor relations.
Administer union contracts and policy handbooks.
Mediate workplace disputes and coordinate grievance procedures.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in a production management role in the steel manufacturing industry.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; minimum of 5 years in Human Resources and Management.
SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Strong understanding of steel manufacturing processes and equipment.
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Confidence and ability to influence, facilitate processes, and coach managers.
