What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Specialist position at OMEGA ALPHA ACADEMY?
OAA is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Year Round IT Specialist with at least three years’ experience in providing technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions and/or resolve computer problems for teachers/staff in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, trouble- shooting, electronic email and operating systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Responsible in overseeing the overall daily performance of computer systems.
· Communicate with staff, users, and administration to establish requirements for system updates or modifications.
· Establish and maintain current information, contact and relationship with ADE program officers.
· Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring the proper installation of programs, operating systems, and appropriate software.
· Read technical manual, confer with users and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
· Write clear, persuasive, concise proposals and meet deadlines.
Position Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of relevant/success IT Technical experience.
· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Enjoy working in a service-oriented collaborative team environment
· Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
