Job Posting for Mohs/Histotechnician at Omni Dermatology
Job Duties
Perform Histological technical procedures using manual and automated techniques to achieve high quality Pathology slides for review by Pathologists.
Prepare histological samples, map, flatten, paraffin embed samples, sectioning, staining (routine and non-routine), perform Immunohistochemistries, review samples, ensure quality standards and maintain all documentation.
Comply with all OSHA (safety), CLEP, CLIA and CAP (lab certification and accreditation programs) and HIPAA (patient confidentiality) regulations in the performance of all aspects of the position.
Perform routine housekeeping duties; keep rooms and laboratory stocked with supplies, efficiently organize, file and dispose of all specimens in accordance with applicable regulations.
Participates in external and internal proficiency testing.
Knowledge of Laboratory Information System applications for Histology/Cytology to perform job duties
Must be willing to work from 5 different office locations as the surgeon is at a different site every day of the week (Monday-Friday).
